As a member and spokesperson for the Transparency Network, we requested and facilitated a study by the Center for Law and Democracy on access to information and open data laws.
The study places Puerto Rico in the 87th position out of 128 countries, the least favorable third of the countries evaluated and included in the Right to Public Information Index (RTI Rating).

1) We allied with the civic organization, Somos Más, to announce multiple amendments to the Anti-Corruption Code for a New Puerto Rico that seek to strengthen areas that remain vulnerable in the government apparatus.

2) Puerto Rico needs to promote government practices that are truly comprehensive, efficient, transparent, and inclusive. As a member of the 2020 Fraud Committee led by the Colegio de CPAs, we created a working group with Prof. Héctor Martínez and Mr. Milton Méndez, to outline recommendations that can help us build stronger anti-corruption mechanisms in Puerto Rico.
